Home Wi-Fi installation South Devon

Reliable Wi-Fi designed around the whole property.

We design and install managed home networks across South Devon, extending dependable connectivity through the rooms, offices, terraces, gardens and outbuildings that need it—not merely the area beside the broadband router.

Designed around the result

Broadband speed and good Wi-Fi are not the same thing.

The connection entering the property may be fast while building materials, interference, poor access-point positions and overloaded consumer hardware prevent that speed reaching the devices that use it.

01

Dead spots and weak rooms

Coverage is planned around walls, floors, extensions and room use rather than assuming one router can serve the entire building.

02

Buffering and unreliable calls

Capacity, interference, roaming and wired connections for fixed devices are considered alongside headline internet speed.

03

Devices repeatedly dropping off

Cameras, speakers, televisions and automation need a stable network design, suitable switching and consistent addressing—not a patchwork of boosters.

04

Several confusing network names

Managed access points create one coherent network so mobile devices can move naturally through the property and outdoor areas.

The invisible infrastructure

Good wireless performance begins with a properly wired foundation.

Wherever practical, ceiling, in-wall and outdoor wireless access points are connected back to a managed network by cable. This provides predictable performance and reserves wireless capacity for phones, tablets and devices that genuinely need it.

Where a cable route is not practical, a carefully designed mesh link can extend the managed network. We treat mesh as one useful design option rather than a substitute for understanding the building.

  • On-site assessment of coverage, construction and interference
  • Structured data cabling and organised network cabinets
  • Managed switching, routing and suitable internet resilience
  • Discreet ceiling and in-wall wireless access points
  • Weather-resistant outdoor Wi-Fi for terraces and gardens
  • Carefully planned mesh where wiring genuinely cannot reach
  • Separate home, guest, office and smart-device networks
  • UniFi, Ruijie Reyee, TP-Link Omada and DrayTek platforms

From first conversation to handover

A professional installation, planned as one complete project.

  1. 01

    Network and coverage survey

We review the incoming service, construction, current equipment, important rooms, external spaces and the devices the network must support.

  2. 02

    Infrastructure design

Cable routes, cabinet, router, switching and access-point positions are planned around coverage, capacity, resilience and future serviceability.

  3. 03

    Installation and configuration

Equipment is installed discreetly, firmware and security are configured, and fixed AV or security devices are wired wherever suitable.

  4. 04

    Coverage testing and handover

Roaming, speed and important applications are tested across the property, then access and guest arrangements are explained clearly.

Useful questions

Before your project begins.

Will faster broadband fix my Wi-Fi dead spots?+

Not necessarily. Broadband speed describes the service reaching the router. Dead spots are normally caused by wireless coverage, interference, construction or equipment placement within the property.

Are wired access points better than mesh?+

A wired access point usually provides the most predictable performance because its connection does not share wireless capacity with the devices it serves. Mesh remains useful where a suitable cable route is genuinely unavailable.

Can you extend Wi-Fi into the garden or an outbuilding?+

Yes. Depending on distance and available routes, we can use weather-resistant outdoor access points, data cabling, fibre or a designed wireless link to serve terraces, pergolas, offices and outbuildings.

Can guest and smart-home devices be separated?+

Yes. A managed network can separate visitors, work devices, smart products, CCTV and other systems while keeping the experience straightforward for authorised users.
