Media room installation Devon

Media rooms designed for everyday living.

A media room brings television, films, gaming and music into an attractive everyday space. We design the display, sound, joinery, wiring and control together so the technology feels integrated rather than added afterwards.

Designed around the result

The room should look considered before anything is switched on.

A successful media room has to work as part of daily life. The display, speakers and controls should deliver a convincing experience without allowing cables, equipment or technical complexity to dominate the interior.

01

Visible cables and disconnected equipment

Cable routes, power, ventilation, data and equipment locations are planned before the finished wall or joinery is completed.

02

Sound that does not suit the room

We design for clear dialogue and balanced music using architectural, on-wall or conventional loudspeakers chosen for the space.

03

Several remotes and confusing inputs

A single remote or room control can manage the television, sources, sound and lighting through one familiar interface.

04

A room designed only for television

Seating, lighting and equipment are coordinated so that the room remains comfortable for conversation and everyday living.

Designed as part of the interior

Large-screen impact without turning the room into a cinema.

Media rooms work particularly well where one space needs to support films, sport, gaming, music and ordinary family life. The display may be wall mounted, recessed into a feature wall or incorporated within bespoke cabinetry.

Audio can range from an elegant soundbar to discreet surround sound and hidden in-ceiling speakers. The right answer depends on the room, construction, listening expectations and how visible you want the system to be.

From first conversation to handover

A professional installation, planned as one complete project.

  1. 01

    Understand the room

We establish how the space is used, what you watch or play, the required seating positions and the visual finish you want to protect.

  2. 02

    Plan the infrastructure

Power, data, speaker cable, source equipment, ventilation, mounting and future access are resolved before surfaces are closed.

  3. 03

    Install and integrate

Displays, speakers, sources, joinery interfaces and control are installed with discreet cable routes and careful alignment.

  4. 04

    Configure and demonstrate

Inputs, audio, apps and controls are set up around everyday use, then explained without unnecessary technical language.

Useful questions

Before your project begins.

What is the difference between a media room and a dedicated cinema?+

A media room remains an everyday living space and normally uses a television or discreet projection with technology integrated into the interior. A dedicated cinema gives the room entirely to controlled light, acoustics, seating and film performance.

Can you work with my interior designer or joiner?+

Yes. Early coordination is ideal because display recesses, loudspeaker positions, cable routes, equipment ventilation and service access can then be designed into the finished scheme.

Can the speakers be hidden?+

Yes. Depending on the construction and performance required, we can use in-ceiling, in-wall, discreet on-wall or invisible loudspeakers. We will explain the practical and sonic differences before specification.

Can one remote operate everything?+

Yes. Nice Home Control is our preferred integrated platform, and we can also support suitable Control4 projects. Simpler rooms may need only a well-configured system remote.
